Can cantilever racking be used outdoors?
Yes, cantilever racking works well in yards and outdoor storage areas, which is common for timber and steel stockists. For outdoor use we recommend a galvanized finish to handle weather, and the base design accounts for the surface it stands on. Tell us it's going outside and we'll specify accordingly.
Single sided or double sided cantilever racking?
Single sided racks stand against a wall and load from one face. Double sided racks share a central column, store on both faces and make better use of open floor space. If the rack sits in the middle of your yard or warehouse, double sided almost always wins on cost per stored metre.
